Thank You to the Parish
Trish and Alex Campen want to thank all of you who have been so supportive thru your food ministries and most of all your constant prayer support.

We didn’t have much time at home and so did not get to “hang around church” much, but you will never know how much you have made our journey easier. We are now headed back to Salt Lake for a 2nd stem cell and ask that you please continue to keep Alex in your prayers.  You can keep up how he is doing on caringbridge.com.

God Bless,
Trish and Alex Campen

New Bishop for Apostles
Thomas (T.J.) Johnston has been our bishop for 5 years.  Recently we were informed that Bishop Johnston would no longer be overseeing the Mid-South Mission Network (the cluster of Anglican Mission churches of which we are a part and of which Chris Cairns is Network Leader).  TJ’s decision stems from the increasing demands of his local ministries as a pastor and church planter in South Carolina, in addition to a long standing commitment to ministry in Haiti where he and Rees once served as missionaries.

All the churches in the Mid-South Network are now coming under Bishop Todd Hunter’s Network, “Churches for the Sake of Others,” based in southern California.  In the AMiA, congregations have the right to choose which bishop and network to align with, and Todd Hunter was the bishop who was suitable to oversee this particular network by an overwhelming consensus of the senior clergy.  Please pray for him and TJ in this time of transition.

You can learn more about Todd Hunter by visiting his website at www.ToddHunter.org.  He has written a book about becoming Anglican, called The Accidental Anglican, which you may consider reading as well.  By watching the video at www.telosevents.org, you will be able to see why his focus on formation and mission is very closely aligned with the formation ministry and mission ethos at Apostles.

Thank You to the Parish from Laird and Bitsy
We have once more been blessed by the pastoral care provided to us during the time of Bitsy’s recent surgery and recovery. The cards from individuals and from the parish card ministry, the meals, the visits, the flowers and the prayers of so many dear friends in Christ have been a great source of comfort, love, strength and peace to us, and a true reflection of the ministry of all believers at Apostles.

Thank you and God bless you always,

Laird and Bitsy
