Each Sunday we pray for several different people and ministries. Take note of the following people and pray for them during the week.
Union Sudanese Church
Each Saturday evening, USC gathers at Apostles’ present location to worship in their native language. Please pray for Botrous Tutu and the leadership of USC as they continue to offer the Gospel to Sudanese Christians in the Knoxville area.
Compassion Coalition
Compassion Coalition’s mission is to inform, prepare, and unite churches to transform lives and communities through the love of Christ. Through their ministry, Compassion Coalition walks alongside Knoxville-area churches, helping Christians respond to the cry of the suffering, the broken, and the abandoned within their congregations and out in the community.
El Puente
El Puente seeks to become a place for the Latino community of Knoxville to find bridges into community–immigration help, contacts for work, help with enrolling kids in school, a map for good medical care, and even some mentoring for those who want to return to their native lands and lead others toward sustainable spiritual and economic health. Please pray for Robert Hodge as he leads this ministry to our Latino brothers and sisters in Knoxville.
Joni and Friends
Joni and Friends Knoxville, under the direction of Dr. Laura Payne and a local Board of Ministry Development, seeks to evangelize, disciple and encourage people with disabilities to use their gifts within the body of Christ and to equip Christ-honoring churches to serve individuals and families affected by disability.
Samaritan Ministry
The Samaritan Ministry seeks to serve people, primarily in East Tennessee, who are living with HIV/AIDS through direct support and by means of a significant network of service providers. The SM is committed to take every opportunity to advocate, teach, and otherwise seek support in the fight against HIV & AIDS. The SM is most concerned that Christians and churches respond appropriately to this epidemic with open arms and hearts, living out the model set for us by Jesus Christ.
International Justice Mission
IJM exists to protect people from violent forms of injustice by securing rescue and restoration for victims and accountability for perpetrators, ensuring that public justice systems work for the poor.
Alec and Pati Woohull
Alec and Pati are involved in USAffairs and Missiolink, a Romanian Christian organization committed to church growth and social service.
Kenny Woodhull
Kenny is the director of New City Ministries.
Rachel’s Lament
